Cornet Obolensky Youngster Auction with international interest

100 percent sales success at the Westphalian Stud Book

Münster: For the fourth time, the Westphalian Stud Book organized an online auction in cooperation with the Zhashkiv Stud in the Ukraine. 13 two-year-old colts were for sale in this auction. All of them found a new owner that evening at an average price of 13,019 euros. The most coveted offer was a colt from the direct dam line of Cornet Obolensky. He was worth 22,000 euros to his new owners.

For the fourth time, the Westphalian Stud Book organized a youngster auction in cooperation with the Zhashkiv Stud from the Ukraine. The famous sire Cornet Obolensky is owned by this stud. He is firmly anchored in the pedigrees of the auction candidates.

The price leader of the evening was an auction candidate who descents from the direct line of the popular gray stallion. The dam of Cornet Obolensky is the granddam of the head number 2 Cornet's Castello. The son of Captain Fire/Kannan changed hands to German ownership for 22,000 euros. Also highly prized by international customers was a direct son of the popular gray stallion. With the head number 1, the bay bears the significant name Champions League. His dam, Verb.Pr.St. Adige van't Zorgvliet by Heartbreaker, is a half-sister to Dobel van't Zorgvliet, who is highly successful in CSI 5* show jumping under the saddle of Daniel Deusser. After an exciting bidding duel, the bay stallion changed hands to Irish ownership at the hammer price of 19,500 Euros.

Of the 13 youngsters offered, all could be sold to new owners this evening. Many pre-bids came from countries outside of Germany. More than half of the youngsters were actually sold to customers from abroad. With an average price of 13,019 euros, the Westphalian Stud Book generated a turnover of 169,250 euros this evening.
